Steps of Submission

  • Step 1 Sign-up or Log in
    Sign-up an account to fill in your personal information. If you have already registered, you may login here.
  • Step 2: Submit your Abstract
    Fill in author and abstract information and save. 
  • Step 3: Abstract Submission Acknowledgement
    After the abstract submission, an abstract submission acknowledgement will be sent to you via your registered email.
  • Step 4: Pay Later
    No immediate payment required. First/presenting author shall pay ON or BEFORE 25 Aug 2024 in order for your abstract(s) to qualify for presentation during the conference.

General Information

  • You must register as a delegate of the conference before submitting your abstract. To register and to submit your abstract online, click HERE. (link to abstract submission)
  • Only the presenting author is required to be registered as a delegate. 
  • You may submit more than one abstract.
  • Abstract must be written in English in all parts including title, names and affiliations of the authors, abstract text and appendices i.e. table, figure and graph.
  • Abstract must be original research material that has neither been published nor presented in any meeting at the time of submission.
  • All original research must be approved by a relevant research ethical committee and the approval should be mentioned in the abstract text. Authors should ensure the abstract is properly reviewed, proof-read and free of grammatical error.
  • Abstracts can only be submitted electronically through the official Congress website (http://www.klvac.my). Abstract sent by post, fax or email WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
  • If you do not complete the submission process, your information will be held in temporary storage until you return later to complete your submission. Please note that your submission must be completed before the submission deadline.
  • Abstracts must be SUBMITTED BY 11:59 p.m. (Malaysia time), on 15 JULY 2024 . Late submissions will not be accepted.
  • An acknowledgement notification will be sent to you once you have successfully submitted your abstract/s. If you did not receive the acknowledgment, please contact the Congress Secretariat at secretariat@klvac.my.
  • All submitted abstracts will undergo a peer-review process by a panel of reviewers. Accepted abstracts will be selected for either oral or poster presentation. The KLVAC 2024 Scientific Committee reserves the right to re-categorise any accepted abstract. The decision of the committee is final. All accepted abstracts will be published in the Congress Programme book and on the website.
  • Authors will be notified of the method of presentation (virtual or physical), which will be decided by the KLVAC 2024 Scientific Committee.
  • Abstract authors will be informed of the status of their abstracts via email by 15 AUGUST 2024.
  • Judges’ decisions are final and no appeal will be entertained.
  • Once an abstract is selected, payment for conference registration should be paid before 30 AUGUST 2024 to ensure that the abstract is published in the Congress Programme book and website.

Submission Guidelines

  • Category: Please select the category which BEST describes the content of your abstract. Categories are used for reviewing and indexing purposes.
  • Presentation Preference: Participants may select the option for oral or poster presentation. However, the Scientific Programme Committee reserves the right to re-categorise any accepted abstract.
  • Abstract Title: The title is limited to 120 characters excluding spaces and should be brief and relevant. Capitalise each word in the title. Special characters should NOT be used in your title but spelt out instead (e.g. α should be written as alpha, β as beta). Only use standard abbreviations and generic drug names in the title.
  • Authors and Affiliations: The first author listed must be the Presenting/Attending Author. Type the authors’ names according to the format and example given. When more than one author is listed, use numbers to match authors and institutions. Capitalise words only as required.
  • Abstract body:
    • Structure: The abstract should have the following sub-headings except for case report and case series.
      • Introduction
      • Methods
      • Results
      • Conclusion
    • Layout: Please fill in according to the sections provided. Do not include graphs, tables or illustrations in the abstract.
    • Word count: The abstract should not exceed 300 words (including section headings i.e. Introduction, Methods, Results and Conclusion.)
    • Only approved and generic (non-proprietary) drug names should be used.
    • Do NOT enter the title, authors, or grant information into the abstract body submission field.

Presentation Guideline

ePoster Presentation Guideline:

  • All the ePoster will be displayed at the digital poster panel located at the poster area.
  • ePoster presentation slot – 5 minutes (including Q & A)
  • Format: PDF
  • Layout: Portrait
  • Recommended size is a ratio of 9:16 with a resolution of 1920 px (Height) x 1080 px (Width) 
  • Posters should be designed, such that titles, legends, graphs and illustrations can be easily read
  • Kindly produce and affix a recent headshot (passport sized) of the Author/s at the top right-hand corner of the poster
  • Please note in order to present your abstract, kindly register and fully paid before 1st September 2024
