MUHAMMAD SYAFIQ BIN IDRIS UNIVERSITY MALAYA MEDICAL CENTRE

Dr MUHAMMAD SYAFIQ BIN IDRIS obtained his undergraduate degree from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland/Penang Medical College in 2009. After that, he completed his housemanship for 2 years in Hospital Tuanku Fauziah, Kangar, Perlis. He subsequently joined University of Malaya Medical Centre as a service medical officer in surgical department in 2011. He passed his Membership of Royal College Surgeons (MRCS) examination in 2015, awarded by Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He received his Master of Surgery from University of Malaya in 2018. He underwent vascular fellowship from 2020 to 2023 in Ministry of Health Malaysia in Hospital Kuala Lumpur and Hospital Queen Elizabeth 2, Kota Kinabalu. He also trained under Dr Glenn Tan in Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore in 2023. He is currently a specialist in Vascular Unit, University of Malaya Medical Centre.
