Edward Choke Northern Heart Hospital, Penang

Dr Edward Choke is a Senior Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon at Northern Heart Hospital, Penang, Malaysia. He graduated with first class honours MBBS from the University of Sydney and undertook specialist training in General and Vascular Surgery in Oxford, UK between 2006 and 2010. In 2014 he was appointed the Senior Lecturer and Consultant Vascular Surgeon at the vascular unit in Leicester Royal Infirmary, UK. He was one of three UK trainees in 2012 to receive the competitive British Society of Endovascular Therapy Fellowship for complex angioplasties. He has over 100 publications in peer reviewed international journals including high impact journals such as Circulation, Eur Heart Journal, ATVB, EJVES and British Journal of Surgery. He has written 5 book chapters in vascular surgery and is regularly invited to review manuscripts from international journals. He has more than 100 presentations at international conferences. He is also regularly invited to speak at key international conferences including Charing Cross Symposium, TCT, LINC, Euro PCR, AMP and CIRSE. He is a keen teacher and is the current education lead for SKH DUKE-NUS medical student programme. He is faculty for NUS-YLL and NTU LKC School of Medicine.
