Dr Benjamin Leong is currently the Head of Vascular Surgery Subspecialty of the Ministry of Health, Malaysia. He qualified in medicine from Ireland in 2000. He was trained in vascular surgery under the Ministry of Health, Malaysia and Royal Perth Hospital, Australia. He returned to Sabah, Malaysia, as the first vascular surgeon of the state in 2014 and started permanent vascular service in Sabah based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital 2, Kota Kinabalu. Since then, he has pioneered numerous vascular milestones in Sabah. He has great interest in vascular access surgery for haemodialysis and minimal invasive endovascular interventions. He is also a keen speaker in both local and international vascular conferences to share his experience.
