Datuk Dr Hanif is a Consultant General and Vascular Surgeon in Hospital Kuala Lumpur. He was the Head of KKM Vascular specialty from 2016 till 2023, Head of Surgical Department, HKL since 2020 and Deputy Head of General Surgery Specialty since July 2023. He is also the Coordinator for the KKM Masters Program since 2019. He graduated from UKM in 1991 and completed his Masters in General Surgery, in 1999. He was trained in Vascular Surgery under the late Datuk Dr Zainal Ariffin Azizi and had an attachment at Hull Royal Infirmary in 2003. He is a trainer for the Masters Surgery Program and has been involved in the final postgraduate exam since 2011 and a member of the Surgical Specialty Conjoint Committee. He is a trainer for KKM Vascular Surgery Subspecialty fellowship program. He has interest in the whole range of vascular diseases, with focus on aortic and peripheral vascular diseases. He has been involved in many local and regional conferences and has a list of publications on vascular diseases.
